At The Bowery Kitchen, chefs Simone Apostoli and David Simmons brought a grill out on to the street and started serving up hamburgers, hot dogs and apple bacon covered chicken.
‘We’re trying to give people a little warmth and security.’
Dozens of people lined up in front of the grill, passing each other ketchup and sharing stories of the storm.
